Different membership levels?

... I had the idea for different membership levels and permissions. Or selectively giving download permission. 
Like, if someone pays $45-$60 a month, I wouldn't mind them downloading everything. For $20 a month, or less, it makes no sense for me. If someone's a member for longer than 3-6+ months, I don't mind them downloading either. 

It's the guys that join for $20, download everything, and then don't recur, which is the main reason I've disabled downloads on my site (also, because I do fur fetish, there's a very real possibility of being targeted by PETA/anti-fur nuts as I get more popular). 

Is this something in the works? 

I personally think that with the internet being so ubiquitous, that the "download everything" model is becoming irrelevant and increasingly makes less sense, but guys seem to want it and it seems popular on other sites (and I don't mind offering it, for a higher price).  

Random thought: If a guy is technologically decently smart he can figure out how to download the clips (I did), but I don't to make it obvious.

    Hey Kaitlin. Good points, the download/stream discussion has been a hot dispute in this business since streaming became possible. That is why we set up the "Disable Downloads" function.

    The member levels functionality has been discussed, but as far as I know it's not yet in the works. I'll check on the status and will let you know if it's coming any time soon. I know for sure that we have a bundle of other things on the to do list as of now. Glad to hear your members didn't revolt when downloads were switched off (saw your tweet). I also don't see a reason of making downloads easy for them, especially since MC takes care of the streaming and storage-and-delivery costs.

    Different member levels would be cool, then you could check or uncheck which videos to make available for what members. Personally, I would like 2 levels, a regular level and then a "benefactor" level, where they person pays several hundred a month, and then gets access to even more exclusive content. I have the benefactor payment option set up now, but I can't make any special content available to them on site.

    Hi AJ-Jupiter, sounds like a good idea. We've got a similar request before, so I added it to our 'feature request list' already. As an alternative, we are working on ' Sending paid content' functionality right now, which will work for members who are ready to pay more to get special and exclusive content.

    Hi Peeps , 

    Been thinking about this, I really want to set up a trial membership, but hate the thought that people will sign up for the trial membership & then download all the video content & then cancel the membership before the full price one kicks in. It would also be a good way of people being able to watch the webcam show for one night but not paying for the full month, which would be a wicked bonus.

    Be good if you could set up that all trial memberships are not allowed to download content.

    Thanks Angel. That's a good point. It'll take a bit of development though cuz there are no user groups at the moment, i.e. "all are equal" :)

    I do not allow my members to download anything from the site. I offer them free content to download at certain times like for Christmas everyone with a month membership during December received my Christmas photo set through a link to download. If a fan really loves you and want your content they will pay it if they can afford it and send gifts.I would rather charge them at a discount for downloadable content and send them naughty little "gifts" of my appreciation.My method help me develop a deeper bond with them.

    i like the selected download option. there are some videos i wont mind ppl downloading and some i do. i would be cool to have the option of which videos and pic sets can be downloaded and which cant. 
    on the side note...guys who want to download everything you have on your site are most likely the guys trying to post them on porn site. i never have to worry about that with guys who buy custom videos its only the guys who look or buy randoms. i would say if you know ur fan base then your ok.  
    if you think ppl have ur videos on porn sites the main site to check is HomeGrownFreaks.com they are known for stealing girls videos and recording girls while they do pvt shows. they mainly do it on MFC, CB and any site that is mostly about tipping or girls doing public shows and not private shows.  so watch out girls!
