Twitter API might be updating

We have been noticing some hiccups in the Twitter API, especially concerning lag with posting through the API. Also, seeing people who being recommended as accounts to follow but we already follow them. Then you refresh and it fixes itself. Nothing big, but just some signs that the API might be getting updated.

You may be thinking: "Hey, I don't use the API!" ...but if you use tools like hootsuite then you do! In the past we have seen issues that include:

-Unfollowing people without you doing it

-Following people without you doing it

-Not posting scheduled tweets

-Posting duplicate tweets

-Rolling pinned tweets back to ones you pinned months ago

-Anomolies in your stats, especially through 3rd party platforms like hootsuite.

-Tweets not showing up in search

-Not being able to log in to your account

-Having to reauthorize your account for 3rd party, and authorization not being accepted.

Good idea to make sure you know the email and phone associated with your Twitter accounts. If the API does have issues, Twitter generally gets it fixed within a few days to a week. But its a good idea to know all your login credentials and keep an eye on your account, just in case.
