Don't Miss #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday on Twitter

It is the biggest shopping day of the year and Twitter is no exception. In fact, Twitter has become one of the top place people come looking for holiday sales.  If you do not have holiday sale content, you should likely consider putting some up quickly!

If you do, then start using hashtags like #blackfriday #holidaysale #flashsale #cybermonday.  However, even if you are not doing a sale of your content you can still partcipate. This is a great chance to make your Twitter more personal. Post some pics of you at the black friday sales. Even sneak into the changing room and get a few pics in there.

The holidays can be really stressful for people, but posativity is contagious. It is even more contagius in social media.  People are more likely to engage with your tweet if it has positive emotional content.  If your tweets are not only positive but relatable, it makes you more relatable to your audience and they will be more likely to like, retweet, click and buy!

So go get festive...in a good way! Use the mainstream hashtags to your advantage, whether it is to gain some sales or to build engagment.

So here are the big hashtags for the weekend:

#blackfriday

#smallbizsaturday (this is actually for american express, but no reason you can't hop on it. The reasoning behind it is to get people to support small business.)

#cybermonday

#optoutside (REI is doing this one, for people who are wanting to opt out of the shopping frenzy).
