Google & Twitter Desktop Search
Some more interesting news from Google. I think this is just the beginning of some big changes comeing to the big G. Yes, yesterday Google changed their logo. Most people like it. Though it is visually a big change for the company, it doesn't really have any affect on actual Google and how it affects anyone. What does have an affect is that Google is now including live tweets in their desktop search. Yes they have been doing this for a few months now, but it has recently changed. They are now adding a carosel of the most recent tweets. In that carosel, if you have a link, that link can be clicked. So someone can click a link from one of your tweets, directly from a Google search result!
So why do you care? Well, there is now the possability to drive even more traffic to your site through your twitter. This puts even more importance on making sure your Twitter account is SEO (search engine optimization) optimized for your keywords, so that when people search for your topic on google, they can find you.
I know it doesnt seem like that big of a deal, but for the people that are being favored with the Google Tweet Carousel it could mean a significant increase in traffic for them. And traffic = money!
