Mainstreaming your Adult Hashtags
Everyone wants to know what is the best way to take advantage of mainstream hashtags while still tweeting about adult. Mainstream hashtags are highly searched and used not for adult/porn search. But how can you use that without seeming like you are blatantly trying to spam that tag? The best way is to take a tag and make it relevant to you.
For instance. We have been at the Adult Virtual Convention (#AEVC). There has been a lot of talk about virtual reality. Tweeting about #sex, #porn, #caming, #sextoys and #virtualreality can easily integrate both hashtags.
When you write the tweet contextually, it does not look like you are spamming. Rather it looks like you are participating in a very real conversation that has an adult/mainstream cross over. This kind of organic integration can result in getting some new mainstream followers, as well as conversation with people who normally may not have been aware of your Twitter.
If you spam the hashtags, then you will likely only get the bots following you. However, if you use them in conversation, you really can reach an audience that would not normally be searching for you but is interested in you none-the-less.
