Disabling previews definitely prevents free wanks. But it can also prevent prospective customers from finding out if you have what they want to pay for. 

Where I come done on the issue of previews is I make previews designed to show what the clip is about. But it also deliberately disrupts their ability to see moments long enough to get off too. I make tickle videos. Here's one of my best examples of such a preview.

I edit a preview video for each of my clip releases.

For anyone who is making story-based content, I find the approach to making preview videos to be a bit different. It's important to show some of the story basis. But when it comes to the fetish or porn content, I'm still brief and disruptive to keep them from getting off without paying. Here's an example of that kind of preview clip.

A really great value of preview clips is that they make some of my most effective marketing content to give me a competitive edge. I sometimes get my customers on twitter retweeting my preview clips and telling everyone why they liked the full clip on my site.

I know that it sounds like a lot of extra work. But, in making a money machine, whether your preview clip is super simple or complex, I find it to be essential to my MC site success.
