Turning Guests into Customers...

Hey there, I seem to be having a steady flow of hits on my page according to Google  analytics,   557 users, but just 17 returning and not a single sign up ?

Am I doing something wrong? lol How can i get more customers rather than just hits? I have 1855 page views is this good? bad or just down right ugly lol!

Thanks for any advice ! XX

P.s still love the site to bits, just wanna start earning!

  • Try adding more content. When guys look at your tour, it doesn't look like you have much content on your site yet, which might turn them away. If you don't have a lot of content to add right now, maybe lower your price until you do. Also make sure you're promoting your site on social media... Twitter is a great way to get yourself out there. Post pics and interact with your fans. Tag your pics with users on Twitter who retweet nude pics of girls. That way all of their followers will see you and come check out your page.
  • Hi girls, there're actually plenty of ways how to attract more traffic to your website, we are working on the MC Promotion Guide now :) First of all try to keep your Blog more less regular. A blog makes your website more dynamic by automatically injecting new content every time an article is published. Search engines reward higher rankings to websites that consistently add fresh content, and these higher rankings convert into new visitors for your website. Also try to submit your website to review sites. Just google for adult review websites and submit your MC-based website for the review. And use Social Media!

    Good luck!

  • Hey Britney! Thanks so much for starting this thread. Definitely much needed.
1800 hits is not very much, so hard to tell results, however, if this is targeted traffic (people who come specifically from your social media, for example), conversions guest-to-member should be better.
I agree with Holly that you'd need to generate a bit more content and definitely social media advertising are both good ideas.

Until you have a lot of content, maybe scheduling a live show that's free to members will entice more people to join - just have it scheduled to, say, in 4 weeks - and have the counter run and be yet another sales agent for you.

Also, try to keep the whole site to your theme. It's a well-selling one, but all things must be consistent. For example - you kept the default text on the Tip Me page - maybe giving it a little personal touch will do a better job. Sites that have a general theme tend to do better overall. Be creative about the product you offer members and you'll surely make sales. I've seen a cool site by a couple who did a great job in this. Check it out for yourself: http://jesseanddaquan.com/. Another site that I really like is the one by Angel Long. My favorite part and a great feature is her blog http://angellongxxx.com/blog.

of course copying others isn't going to do any good, but trying to develop your own and drawing inspiration from others is always welcome :)

I will post a separate thread about attracting visitors as well - there are many options to consider.

  • Thanks for the tips! time to get to work me thinks xx
  • Check out these guides I posted:

  • Thank you Natalie, Will do xx
  •    Lots and lots of content.  Guys wait until a new site is worth it to join.  Usually the first year is the roughest.
Look at your competition, which is every porn site on the web.  You have to have value which is content.
Must update several times a week on a regular basis, to show them a steady source on new content for them to jack off too. It is a leap of faith.  To keep making it, investing & uploading it.

Traffic, those numbers may seem huge to you, but they aren't.  You need to tweet, tumblr, instagram lots of sexy pics with plenty of hash tags to build up a following on those.  Those social sites lead direct traffic to your pay site here & that will get you joins.

A free tubesite conversion rate is 70,000;1
I don't know now, but several years ago a major site like Bangbros was like 1200:1
My original site back in it's hay day was 350:1  Which is great.

So you need to have plenty of content to get them to convert, then you need traffic for those conversions.

    Blog Blog Blog
    Tweet like crazy
Post 5 to 10 sexy but not nude pics a day on social media daily
Cam on MFC & chaturbate to promote your site to guys in your cam room.  Reward the highest tippers of the day on those with a free one month membership.

    Good Luck,
    Sam

Thanks for sharing this information with us, Sam, it will definitely be very helpful for each model :)
  • Thanks Sam, great info!
  • I'm steadily updating my content every few days with a mix of old and new stuff. I've only had 4 sign ups so far. However, I used the idea of offering one month free membership based on tips I received from sites I cam on. I gave out 11 trial memberships yesterday (they tipped really good for it!). I've already had great feedback from those guys and I'm hopeful those will convert into new customers once their trial period is over. Oh yeah, and don't knock the affiliate programs either. I'm already hooking up with FreeOnes out the gate and got some great response from them. Definitely add as much content as you can, engage your blog regularly and use that live show feature at least weekly. ModelCentro has been great so far!!!! :D
  • Thanks Krystal!
  • There's quite a few strategies for this...

A couple simple ones you can do (and I don't know if you're already doing this, because I haven't seen your site yet) is give people a CLEAR call to action of what you want them to do.

Many times I'll see a models site and they'll just talk about what the site is about, but they never actually tell people to join! Sounds silly, but quite true.

So putting on your home page (and everywhere you can), a call to action like, "So make sure you join my site today, so you can come inside and see more!" Or something that like.

Also, when you give people that call to action, give them a reason why. It doesn't even have to make complete sense. It works because that's how our brain is wired.

Ex: "Click the Join Me link" vs "Click the Join Me link because you'll be glad you did" or "Click the Join Me link because it's your time to join!"

When you give people a reason, by using the word 'because', you'll get more people to "do what you want"...because it works! ;)

There's many other things can work, but simple tweaks like that can really help.

Small hinges swing big doors. :)

    Cheers,
    Jared

  • @WebcamStartup, we went with the tag vs the guide - so, all threads about getting more traffic are tagged Promotion and you can find them here http://community.modelcentro.com/index.php?p=/discussions/tagged/promotion

We didn't want to make an iron set of rules because different things work for different people.
