Questions, Complaints feedback about Pornhub SynC
Im really happy in general with the interface but it has some mayor issues affecting the end users flexibility and general stability. i have been battling with the dashboard for the past few days.
I know i was hasty but 3 of my files where syndicated 2x and one file 3x times.
The menu is rather confusing once one edits the files info for more than one file at the time.
- Syndicating from the pop up menu makes a mess since all dashboard sites need a refresh to show the changes.
- one upload suddenly there are 3 different thumbs.
- The small video preview doesn't help at all checking the length each time blocking the entire page.
- all hell breaks lose if the file isn't encoded jet.
- why does a finished 1080p file need to encode again to send it to PH?
- If PH encodes it anyway? and its just FLV
- it looks like spam if one has 3 exactly the same files.
- PH normally blocks duplicate submissions
- There is no shemale or transgender sexual identity at MC. (which is rather insulting in 2018)
- The Tags sometimes dont arrive at PH
- 16 is the PH tag limit
- and a 150 char limit for file names.
- The filename is different from the video name and different from pornhub name?
- PH Categories depend on gender identity Straight, Gay and Shemale like the niches at our Video section.
- Niches are completely irrelevant nothing shows up.
- Not a single Category gets selected and one only gets the like 3 default ones.
- since PH doesn't give us the upload menu it robs us of search results
- PH has no option to add category latter only users can recommend to add and only after several have added the categories and tags
- The ridiculously small PH white watermark one cant even read is not worth loosing all the special upload details that gets our content watched
- My vids end up in the straight/gay section which ruins the searches and the user comments suck since im at the wrong gender identity and cant use the correct tags.
- Having 3 different names for the same file at 3 different places is absolutely confusing, one at Video page head, then the Filename and then at SynC and the PH name.
- Again 3 detail pages One at uploads, one at SynC and one in Videos. How am i supposed to name the same file at different places the same without opening 4 dashboards that are busy doing other stuff?
- if you touch one the others kinda act up, all with the same name jet 3 different links and options at different tabs.
- If one has several files with the same starting name, like for a 5 part video series, the same 20 sec intro.
- it is impossible to tell them apart
- sometimes it also looks as if the file has just disappeared. it shows up a while later but by then then my mistake was made and i have 2 identical files not getting to the targe views for bonuses from PH
It would be a real solution for future syndication tubes to make a betters content flow.
Files go to Uploads. Video and Pics are separated from each other with file types
In a Detailed list just like a folder view. with numbers or flags to get them quickly.
The files get named, edited and set up for all the different monetization options.
One single information and details page to edit. Not a bulky thumbnail preview where all look the same and change places if one works on the file.
This way one finishes creating the content, uploading and adds all the details needed immediately.
Encoding should wait until final storage the moment the file is sent to Store, Videos or Tubes.
It encodes if the user logs out.
i find it pointless to upload a HD MP4 files. encoding to the MC file system and then back into FLV again for PH that will encode it again into FLV. for a ridiculously invisible white watermark. I have been waiting more than 12 hours for a 25min 1080p 60fps 9000kbps vid to encode and be syndicated.
The one time i tested a 3h54 min vid at 720p it took 3 days or so. I know that this is the most resource hungry operation considering the sheer amount of files and models.
Knowing what format MC uses and record it in that format would be cool. saves time and resources.
I also noticed that there is a loss of quality once its encoded. so 9000kbps is a waste right now?
I assume a max of 6000kbps for 1080p at 60fps?
OK took me all day getting all the details together.
Sorry the list is not ordered correctly, it has mistakes
im really tired right now to check for details.
Please ask me anything if unclear
Thank you for reviving my complaints list the first day of the new year
Sincerely Brandynette
