Does MindGeek aka Manwin own MC?

I am curious becuase ya'll sure do push Pornhub on us a LOT.  Always doing more deals to have all of us on that tubesite and not any of the others.

Is Mindgeek the owner or  an investor of Modelcentro?

  • No. Outside of partnerships, there's no MindGeek connection. AdultCentro and CentroBill are the other two products / companies that date ModelCentro. I don't know if they're all DBAs on the same entity or how they're structured. To the best of my knowledge, they're based out of one of them Scandinavian countries. Denmark? Is it? If I'm not mistaken, MindGeek is Canadian.

The two camming/clip entities that MindGeek does own is XTube and MyDirtyHobby.

  •  LOL It is meant as a joke because all the deals the do with a tubesite is PH NONE of the others. At some point I do have to wonder though.  Mindgeek owns a lot of different companies & they haven't always been honest in the past about owning them either.

They are hiring in Luxemborg, Los Angeles, Bucharest, London, Hamburg, Nicosia and Montreal. So we just can't really say they are a Canadian company, no can we?

  • Guess you're right. Just look at Cyprus.......

  • Streamate is the company that's really in bed with them with that whole whitelabel and online models being plugged on all those pages. Aren't their profiles also linked to on the verified amateur page now?

And SM is also a ModelCentro integration partner. Now it's really time to put the tinfoil hat on......

  • I have actually wondered why it's Streamate featured on PornHub and not MyDirtyHobby models though. Being a MindGeek product, you'd think that'd make more sense.

  • I guess to answer the main question of this thread... No, ModelCentro is not owned by Mindgeek.

The companies do have business relationships, like the SynC project that, although PH was the first tube introduced to it, will not be limited to Mindgeek's tubes. PH is the biggest and so it was the first, other tubes will be part of SynC as soon as integration processes permit.

  • I think it´s a great idea and i´m pleased you decided to connect PH first. I take it sooner or later maybe xvideos and xhamster will be inc within the synC?

  • @TheNatalieK we will work with any partner that choses to integrate with MC. Our goal is to provide every option possible to maximize models' revenue.

  • I don't get why so much effort is being put into making it easier to upload to tube sites. Uploading and updating our paid sites should be getting more attention. it'd be nice if we had ftp access to update our sites because doing one vid at a time takes forever and the upload speeds are terribly slow.

And who even updates their free tube sites that often that they need to be able to do it more efficiently. Unless you're a huge producer releasing new stuff everyday I don't see the point of releasing something new to a tube site more than once a month.

I'm pretty sure the majority of us here are trying to build paid subscription sites with recurring members. And those don't come from tube traffic.

So thats when things like SEO should take priority over tube sites. This way we are getting traffic that we can work with.

Or the store still needs alot of improvements so our members can receive a better experience. And we can offer them even more stuff.

There's things like a token/coin system that can be used to allow people to buy in bulk instead of having tons of mini transactions.

I'm sure lots of people would love a fundraiser option.

Or how about some kind of integrated email system.

And I'm sure the forum is full of many more suggestions and ideas which would help maximize our revenue a whole lot more than being able to upload to a tube site quicker.

  • WatchItDry, I appreciate your take on the matter and agree that the features you mentioned are important and therefore should be prioritized up. There are, however, quite a few models who thrive through tube marketing and so SynC is also a valuable tool, though not for everyone. It is, as with most things on ModelCentro, an optional feature. You and choose to use it or not and there is no pressure - it is your choice.

Quite a few new features are in the works based on models' feedback and as you can see from the feature update emails every Friday.

I guess what I'm trying to say is - work is being done and features that are requested are released. Not all of them will fit you but hopefully many will.

  • StanDaMan sounds perfect, just hoping you guys can add the tagging to pornstar as my last video and only update from MC to PH so far hasn´t worked out well as it´s not showing on my pornstar profile over there.

There´s an additional tag "pornstars" when you´re uploading, this connects your videos to the pornstar page over there that we have no control over, this page is good to have all my vid clips connected and atm obviously cannot.

I hear it´s been put on the agenda, cool as always!

  • Yea don't get me wrong I do feel MC is a solid platform, which at the very least has more features available than any similar platforms currently available.

That being said I just found the "Maximize Your Revenue" statement a bit misleading if not just plain contradictory when referring to PornHub. Yes PornHub offers encentives but most don't operate with the paysite owner in mind. To make any kind of money through their pay per view program you have to either have a hugely popular video or most likely be uploading regular full length high quality videos.

Which is fine if that is your choice and you feel you will benefit more doing that. But doing this will dilute the value of your paysite. So I think that is where the concern of whether MC's focus is towards helping us create solid individual paysites or is MC just going to become one of Manwin's many supporting platforms.

Since Syncs purpose is to allow you to upload your full length videos to PornHub quicker. This feature doesn't really benefit the paysite owner. Even if uploading stuff 1 or 2 years old. Unless its really crappy non HD quality than it holds the same value as something shot yesterday. So mass uploading your "old" stuff isn't really a good idea. Unless you're already shooting all your new stuff in 4k Ultra or VR than yeah I guess regular HD is old for you.

When uploading to pornhub it'd be a good idea to follow the paysite model practiced by other paysites. Which is uploading edited versions of full scenes keeping them under 10 minutes. In general 8 minutes of tease and 1 to 2 minutes of highlights of the full scene.

Once again I do feel MC is a solid platform I just also believe that blanket statements like "Maximize Your Revenue Use Sync" should be supported with all the necessary info so people can make informed choices.
