Limiting # Of Downloads for a member per month?

I posted this in another thread but wanted to make a request here abut it too. :) 

My biggest worry / issue with having a paysite is guys who join for a trial / one month and mass download everything I have - then cancel/chargeback and immediately upload my 100+ videos onto some pirate forum. The thought of them doing that makes me want to hurl lol. 

I've been reading paysite review sites / male comments and it's a big disadvantage if you disallow downloads. 

SO, I was thinking...Can we LIMIT the amount of downloads a member can make per month? 

Say the model can choose. And each member can download (example) 10 downloads every billing cycle. 

That would make me feel SO much better, IDK about other models. But dudes get the downloads they want, I get a better peace of mind knowing that some a-hole isn't going to do a mass sweep of all of my stuff. 

I know they can download anyway if they wanted too, regardless of a download button but my point is just wanting to make it harder for them. 

And can we disallow downloads for a pay tier - like a trial billing - I wouldn't want someone downloading a bunch of videos for $3. It's to try the site out - if they like it and my content then they continue and can get downloading privileges.

    Thank you for your feedback! This sounds like a good idea, we've heard a few such ideas in the last few days, specifically as it relates to review sites, and we will be developing a solution in Q1 which will allow granular control for content downloads based on different settings, which would allow models to decide.

    Awesome! Is there a rough timeline of when that feature would be available? I may just wait to launch my site until that feature is released.

    We will start with giving you a checkbox on each video "allow download", so you can, say, let them download the older videos but not the new ones. Per-user limitations (both by join option and quantity of videos downloaded) is great feedback, but it might take a little more time to implement. I'll make sure you get notified of progress in this and it will definitely be in feature digests that you're getting upon new functionality releases.

    Yes I really like the idea of limiting the downloads for "trial" members and having the ability to pick and chose which videos you allow for download. :-)

    What I would suggest is that the download in one go should not be an option.

    Its one thing to save each pic as you look at them. But in truth if you can save each set in one go, then people will join then leave.

    This also makes pirating your content easer.

    The idea is not just to get members, but to keep them as long as you can.

    So what was the outcome for this? If I have Allow to download photosets checked, does that allow them to download the whole set in one click (which I would not want) or is it just pic by pic?

    Allow download lets them get all the pix. Don't allow it if you don't want that. They can still save pic by pic by printscreening.

    i dont let them download videos. to must of a risk of catching them on a free porn site.
