Is it harmful to show too much on social media for free?

For the past few months I’ve tried my best not to show too much nudity on social media, I don’t show bare boobs or pussy on twitter or Tumblr because I felt it was showing too much for free, and might hurt sales, but I’m starting to wonder if that’s not the right strategy, I see lots of girls selling content who show it all.

what are your thoughts?

  • @busty_von_tease - Honestly, you are the only person who can determine whether or not it is harmful for you. There are so many different ways to promote and so many different types of customers out there who are intrigued and inspired by different things. We work in a creative industry, so there's no right way to do anything and so many factors to take into account.

For example, in my experience, nudes get more attention on twitter (but this is just my experience, with my fanbase, that I built up on the premise of having nudes on my page). For me, nudes get more favorites, retweets, replies and link clicks, which helps my content circulate and bring in new followers. Not everyone is interested in purchasing content, obviously, but I figure the more reach I have, the more likely I am to reach someone who is. On the flip side, some people prefer not to post nudes, which likely drives interested and curious parties towards their video sites, but possibly also results in less twitter interaction and less reach over all, but I cannot speak from experience there-- I have done some experimenting in the past by pulling all the nudes from my page, but as I mentioned, my fanbase was built by posting nudes, so I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it for me to switch.

And for a slighly more extreme example-- I'm actually now posting all of my new videos on pornhub for free streaming (pornhub pays me a percentage of the ad revenue generated from them, so I'm not actually losing money). By doing this, I've lost a few monthly subscribers because they can watch my videos for free now, but I still continue to get new ones-- people who want to see my old videos, people who want to watch in 1080p, people who want to see them before they go live on pornhub, and people who want to show me a little extra love.  My video sales have also dropped, but over all it has still been worth it for me personally-- and I've seen an increase in sales for in other items I offer, like panties.

So yeah, in my opinion: whether or not it's harmful is really something you will either have to find out for yourself, or just make a decision on and go from there. The only way in which I can say it definitly has the potential to be harmful is in the sense that your account could eventually be deleted for the content you post. Some people choose to make their twitter private, to avoid this, but again-- doing so will bring your reach down.

  • no, i don´t see how it´s going to harm your business showing your naughty pics, just keep special ones for your fans.

There´s so much free porn out there, you need to show what you´re up to & what you´re capable of. In fact, when I show more I seem to have more members join that day!

Work hard & earn your income :) x

  • It depends on your comfort level obviously and the TOS of the social media platform you're posting on. I post what I like to show of myself. Sometimes I feel sexy sometimes and I feel like being very explicit to feed my exhibitionist side as well. I have not been able to determine correlation between explicit and more sales, or non-explicit and more sales.

  • It doesn't hurt at all as long as you keep your newest content at your site.

Worked way better than i expected and im using the 2 year old content. Im just gathering followers "paying or not" it makes a difference. 2 models similar niches one with 150 and the second with 2000. I was an Unknown and repost are the best advertisement.

After getting into Xhamster, my social profiles did the job alone and got 400 in a few weeks. Apparently nr of followers is a sign of quality. the content i posted sucks or are backstage pieces.

    In my opinion

    -any content will do

-free user generated advertisement, no work, search engines love it

-social commitment, events, promos, shit storms, SMO etc

-one gets to know the preferences of followers with polls and includes that into new content

bonus option: "If my post gets shared a number of times ill post more content!"

    XD

Posting 1 pic and a link to the Tube vid generates income if they click on it. For Forums it rules to bait traffic to the tube where you are earning from advertisement.

Using tubes Is only worth if one is Content Partner

ie Pornhub has forums all over.

Reddit is my most usefully for now. One can find everything and it has generated 80% of my sites traffic

Here is my PH vid here posted at /r/pornhub

To work one must post it as a link and not a text post. add another link in the comments after posting. Just make sure you read the rules of each /r/ some are annoying and can get you banned

Once done one can even share or embed the Reddit link into other forums.

Works best for FB and Google+ since the porn is 2 jumps away. No need for frowned upon bitlys since Reddit shortens the links and Google Analytics tracks the traffic.

downside with me is that i rule the web part but suck making solo content

  • PS: any idea why my posts are always in such a strange linespacing?

    Its normal until i post.

  • I have shootstreams prepared, I found it helpful to remind me of the creative direction and to take the shots I had planned on taking. I also have a lot of experience helping people shoot remotely, angles, lighting, poses, wardrobe   amatoryx.com/GlamourRemote.html       the shoot streams are on a different page,

but you can load the stream on your tv or laptop and take the selfies indicated, or

you can load your phone and pose in front of your laptop. or....
