Adobe and Vegas are the two top ones. But they are fairly complex and also pretty expensive.
A good alternative that is also super easy to use is Wondershare Filmora. And its only about $40. Filmora also has an effects store which sells different templates that you can use to edit your vids. These templates make editing vids with openers and credits or adding a watermark fairly easy. You can also download it for free and play with it and see if it works for you. Just before you render out a vid you have to buy it or it will add a watermark on it.
Anyway I'd try Filmora before Vegas or Adobe you may find that it is all you need

I use Abobe Premiere Pro, but as a beginner I started off with avs4you.com

I work with Magix Video delux. There is a plus and pro version. It has a lot of options to fix bad videos. Very easy to handle.
