Fake password?

Hey guys

We've discovered on Google Analytics 2 sites that offer free user data to our site. We've tried the user data but fortunately neither of them worked. How do you deal with pages which publish free user data for your site?

Those sites are mypornpasswords(dot)net and freefetishpass(dot)com

Would be great to have a helping answer to this topic.

Thank you very much.

  • latexsensual, no worries, the passwords they post are not real. These people most likely work as affiliates and attract members to your site this way

  • Really?!?!?

This is weird. But thank you for the information.

  • Yeah, took me also a while to get it and understand how affiliates work or how they give you traffic

  • Well, this isn't exactly the "cleanest" way to generate traffic, but just out of pure stats - it works... eventually these users like a site enough to pay when they realize the access is fake.

When we just found out about this we had a long internal discussion and came to the conclusion that it's better to know who is doing it and that all the passwords are fake then to actaully have real passwords eventually floating around from some silly memebers who decide to post them on a forum. In fact, this is additional protection since the site ranks high on search engines for "Password to X website" so even if your site's member ever does post his access somewhere it won't be anywhere near the top google results. Naturally, we also have ways to fight password sharing, but this is an additional provision to not have the site flooded in mere seconds.
