I am new to MC and have been plugging away at building my site. I am happy with my progress so far, but still do not have enough content to sign up for the affiliate programs.

A question; are the tags we name pics and videos with only used within our own site or are they the keywords found in internet search engines? I am confused about the whole SEO idea and how I use that with my MC page.

Your site looks really good, I'd just add a Welcome banner or video and background images
The tags on your site can help your members to easily find videos or photos they are interested in.
To improve SEO it is better to add keywords to titles and descriptions of your content

Google what type of content others models in your nich are doing.
It looks like the content has been shot on a camera phone. If that is the case, shoot as much as you can outside in natural light as it should give you better results.
But as you say you need to build up content.
Do the content first.
Invest in a camera if you can, as it will make a big difference.
