Am I doing something wrong? (membership feedback)

I've had lots of 'in - and - out' members in the last 30 days...16 joins, but also 12 cancels (mostly trials), a couple of rebills. 

Lately I've been bummed out about it, I'm kinda of taking the cancel's personally. lol I shouldn't but I am. :/

Curious about feedback from others - Is this how it looks in the beginning or should I be retaining and keeping more members? I upload 3x/week. Played with my prices. I don't offer downloads atm, and am wondering if it's really hurting me in the long run.

    Everybody has that some people stay and some people don`t, the most important thing is that your membership amount is growing or staying the same.

    Some people don`t stay because it`s not what they expected, some people (like dutch people) don`t want to be a member they just want to watch when they are horny and then get ride of it again and will get a new trail when they are horny again.
    And other people watch nonstop while having a trail.
    I had one member who was watching for more then 10 hours and had seen all videos at the end of his trail.
    So he also cancceld

    Please dont give up because of this.
    There will always be new members and fans, dont think about the old ones too much. 

    It was like this when I first started my site.
    But I did a lot of networking, finding sites/forums and using twitter, fb and sometimes tumblr to get a bigger fan base.
    The goal is to keep traffic moving, like at a stop light. Constantly trying to get your name out there, be active and present, make people remember your name.

    Personally, I let people download videos. In my opinion, if Im constantly making content (exclusive to my site or any other site) if one video get leaked its not that big of a deal to me. I understand others are not this open. But I came from the cam world where I sold videos for download. Im just used to it.

    One thing Im not doing anymore is having trails. I did at first but now I only do them for holidays!
    I.E. "Special 7 day trail for only 7.99 Memorial Day Weekend Only AuroraSkywalker.xxx!"

    Your content is worth it. You are worth the monthly memberships. But you have to get yourself out there to find the guys and girls who are member type of people. Once I found a happy price tag I liked, I really pushed it to the public.
    Also when ever you get a member, type up a little general welcome letter explaining your site and what you offer if you give members privileges like Premium. Talk to them. Listen to them. This site is to get personal with the model. Ask them if they have a niche or a fetish or a video they like most so you can upload more like that.

    In the forums here are soooo many helpful posts about how to market on twitter or with other sites and how to get your website ranked high on google.
    Dont give up. Keep working on it.

    Anything worth having is going to be hard. Hard work. Ups and downs. But you can do it because your site is worth it.

    @HaydenBlue I'll second Aurora in the suggestion of making the experience more interactive for the member - sent a quick note, ask how they're doing and what they are up to. Make interaction-provoking blog posts that ask members to comment. And please don't take it personally. A good majority of the people who cancelled probably are just afraid of forgetting the rebills and letting them run forever. Some will re-join for the next month and cancel again - they just feel safer that way. It's their inhibitions over being pounded by rebills, not entirely without grounds. If you engage the user - he will keep coming back.

    Aloha everyone! Just wanted to chime in here to share some insights.

    I just created my Studio account here a couple months ago. 

    First, like @AuroraSkywalker, I don't usually offer trials for my models, just because you're gonna get, for lack of a better term, the cheaper people. I've tested it and 80-90% canceled.

    I've done launches for my models' sites always at full price (we do $29.95/mo), because when you know how to market effectively, and you understand (and tell people why) it's more than 'just porn', you'll get people to pay full price because they want the content, AND they want to connect with YOU as a person. (And if they ever bitch about prices, they're not your ideal member anyway)

    And yes, engaging with your members is very important. Ask them questions, respond to them, etc.

    And it's good to have a popular social network to build your audience and keep new people coming in. I'm a huge fan of Instagram, as it's very easy to build and/or acquire a network on there. 

    And about taking cancellations personally, I completely understand that. When we have people sign up 'because of me', it's easy to think 'cancellations are because of me too'. However, like @MonaSummers said, cancellations happen for a number of reasons.

    I've got a couple VERY powerful and simple (enter some woo woo Law of Attraction stuff here) techniques to help clear negative blocks, limiting beliefs, and much more. (one of them is called Emotional Freedom Technique)

    These techniques can help you things like 'taking things personally', 'caring what other people think', 'seeing your true worth', and much more...allowing YOU to be more free, feel better and promote and grow your site more successfully while enjoying the process more. Does that make sense? :)

    I've used these techniques to clear limiting beliefs in my own life, effortlessly lose weight, have more energy, and manifest MANY other awesome things in my life.
