The price of piracy and free content

I recently learned that a major fur fetish site shadily went out of business or was hacked and then the owner decided to close. Anyway, all the content ended up on popular tube sites and is still up (which makes me think it was the owner going out of business with a big F*** U).
Coincidentally, I've had 4 cancellations in the past 10 days and NO clip sales in 2 weeks, despite posting LOTS of new content. Previously, I would have a join for every cancellation, and never so many at once... or atleast have clip sales from the new content!
Just letting off steam here... but it is a huge bummer.

Yes, I was Wondering if ModelCentro will be Adding the Blueprint Program just posted on Xbiz to our sites in the Future for Protection. It also Takes down Videos already Uploaded to Tubesites. It would work Great for us in my Mind and Real Game Changer for Amatuers

  • Oh cool! I will have to read up on that!

I just don't have time to consistently troll all the tubesites and file sharing sites. In the past, I've accidentally found a few clips that sneakily weren't using my name, so no way could I have done any kind of useful search.

Cancellations happen... but the total lack of clip sales AND the unusual number of cancellations in such a short period of time, makes me 99% sure that my content has been pirated, somewhere... and why would anyone tell me, because now they can get it for free? I finally did make myself search the more popular sites, but found nothing, which just means that MY content is probably getting shared more sneakily. Or maybe it's just the market effects of that HUGE and well established site ending up with ALL their content now available free.

    Just incredibly frustrating!!!!
  • @Kaitlin, that might not be too bad in the long run, look at the bright side (I do feel sorry for the site owner):
    1) His users who are used to paying for their porn are now free of bonds and on the lookout for a new harbour
    2) His content on the tubes will attract more people to exploring the niche, further causing them to look for better stuff in the niche and therefore finding their way to subscribing.
In the long run, it may bring good outcomes, just gotta survive the hurdle for now.

@Cher, we already have planned an analogy of this service called "Content Fingerprinting". It's going to be some time, but it's in the to do list.
  • @Natalie is it a Good thing to Use Tube Sites?
  • @Cher Azur if you can harness the power of the eyeballs on tubes, it is a good thing indeed.
We are working on a partnership with a few tube sites to deliver traffic to models and their MC sites. We will start testing this program this month and hopefully release before end of summer.

Check out what www.pornhub.com/users/selena22 is doing.. she is one of the most successful amateurs on pornhub.
  • @Cher, I will second @StanDaMan on that - tubes are advertising platforms, just do it smart.
  • Thanks for the perspective @Natalie - just was so bummed about the immediate loss of income!
Isn't there one of the tube sites where if you add them as an affiliate, they will link back to your site?
  • @Kaitlin thats YouPorn.. Seems that Most Industry is Made about Tube Sites. Saying all there content is Stolen but I am being Shown it Used for Promotion.

I dont have the Banners for YouPorn so I cant set mine up
