Turning off video previews

Hi All,

Sorry, I did search but came across nothing. I think 45 seconds is way to long of a preview and would like this feature turned off, or shortened to 9 seconds. I did submit a email to support but, am awaiting a reply. I feel like its costing me memberships because guys can get off on the previews without signing up,

Any help is much appreciated

    I'd be comfortable with as much as 20 seconds, but I agree that 45 is too long. I'd also love to be able to use a slider to pick which seconds they get.

    Yep support emailed me and it has been taken care off. Can I just say how amazing the support service at modelcentro is? I don't think I have ever been so impressed before.

    I agree, I love that if I want something specific done to my site, support will work with me individually to make it happen. So much love for that.

    I contacted support about this and was told that there's no possibility to adjust the length of the previews yet. So is there an option to disable previews altogether or are we just stuck giving away part of our videos for free?

    It would be good to have the option to upload a trailer video for preview. I think the the first seconds of movie is not always  a successful teaser.

    To be honest i am not 100% sure why site owners would want the previews turned off, same as the whole disable downloads.

     Selling videos and content is harder then it has ever been, you need to get consumers in and let them see something they really want, surely by not offering previews and download, you are cutting out potential members from your site.

     I know the theory behind it, guys will come and just watch my 45 second previews, or signup to site, download everything and be gone.

     Think it needs to be looked at another way, there are many different type of consumers out there, and we need to cater for all different types, the more types we can cater for, the more $$$ consumers as a whole will spend.
     
     Most videos will have a teaser or intro anyway, so hardly any "action" will generally be shown here anyway, and do you really think consumers who pop in to watch a 45 second teaser and that is all is actually a $$$ spender on content anyway? They probably spend most their days on porn tube sites for free and are never willing to spend $$$.

     Just my take, i think in these days of a tough industry, we need to look at things from different perspectives.

    i agree with u too BJ. I still get sign ups even with previews. Im not trying to blame ppls site or videos but maybe thats why ppl dont sign up. if you video looks bad or you dont even have alot of videos on your site guys will not sign up. If you dont have a lot of video i recommend you change your sign up price until you get at least over 30-50 vids on your site. start with 9.99 per month and a 1.99 1 day trail. use it as a promotional site offer for like a month or two. it helped me alot now im back at 19.99 per month and still getting sign ups. ppl not gonna buy your content just because you tell them too. lol and taking off the preview will just make it worst for ppl who dont have any sign ups in my opinion.

    I have my Downloads Turned off but Offer Downloads from other Means for my Members, I would Love to Set Certain Videos and Such for Download. I love having my Videos Preview already so I dont have worry about making a Trailer for them. I also have All my Videos on Sale for Download in a Clip Store on another site so If they are looking for a Full Video Download its just a Small Fee. I would love to move my Clip Store here on my Site once that Feature Launches.

    yea i have my downloads turned off also. you can only get a download video if you order a custom video.
