  I use Paintshop Pro for image editing.  I prefer Adobe, but Paintshop Pro gives me what I need/like for a more affordable price.  Adobbe suite does have a monthly sub that I am looking into, it can be relatively affordable, I just want to make sure my ROI will be worth it.

  
  

  I also use GIMP for creating animated GIFs - this is an opensource free image editor.  I find it much more cumbersome than PSP, which is why I only use it for creating GIFs

  
  

  I am using a Windows machine, so that might make a difference for ya :-)

  I also use PSP 8 for picture editing. I use Jasc Animation Shop for GIF's, and Aiseesoft FLV Video Converter to make minimal edits to my videos (cut out parts, add watermarks, change to a different format).
