Getting Retweets on Twitter

Twitter is one of the strongest tools for promoting your
ModelCentro site. If you have an active twitter account, you can drive a huge
amount of traffic to your site from just one tweet. When people start
retweeting and favoriting your tweet, you can potentially drive even more
traffic.  But how do you get people to
retweet you?

You can always ask for the retweet by adding text that says
“please retweet”. This lets people know that you want them to retweet your
content and you will have followers that will be more than happy to do that.
You can also ask for the retweet by giving people a reason to retweet, like
“Retweet if you love tits!”.  However,
you do not want to ask for the retweet too much. This can put people off. Do
this sparingly and you will be more successful with the technique.

The best way to get the retweet is to give people something
worthy of retweeting. When you update content on your site, you have the
ability to promote it via Twitter. There is a default script in the “tweet”
window that pops up when you promote your site via the ModelCentro dashboard.
This script will have the link to your site and some default text. You can use
the default text, however you can increase your clicks and retweets if you
customize if for you. Add something about the gallery you just uploaded, or the
new video. Use relevant hashtags, like #fetish or #tits.

If you take the default script and add your own personality
and flair, it will feel more authentic and individual and your followers will
be more inclined to retweet.

  • great advice ! Thank you :*
  • Can always host a retweet contest. Simply give out some free content or free show or something. Here's a tool for randomly picking out a retweeter: http://competitionagency.com/tweetdraw/

I saw a really cool competition that costs nothing to do - post 2 pix side by side and say that the followers need to vote - RT for the left, FAV for the right. The pic that wins... I dunno, gets taken without clothes? Let it run for a day or so and then post the winner one, in a week or so repeat. The  interactivity gets people going like crazy. Especially if you pit the #buttlovers against the #titlovers or something like that :)

You know how to start a 10-day heated debate - throw a Linux fan in a Mac Store :) competition drives people nuts
  • Competition is great! You can even do bets with other twitter accounts and people will get their followers all riled up.
